I had to put in a lot of work on this page. The problem with using a ringworld for a setting is that unless you’re dealing with a massive scale, the horizon will always have a wacky curve at certain angles. So it takes a while to figure out the horizon and also to draw the buildings for a big station shot.
Why I went with a ringworld is beyond me besides being a direct reference to the PC game Startopia, which is hugely influential to Galactic Hub Serreven in countless ways. I’ve not been able to play the recent sequel of the game, but it is on my list. Just waiting for it to land on the Switch.
Anyway, as always feel free to leave a comment, tweet out the comic, or whatnot. Any interaction is good interaction. I would love to hear the thoughts of the readers. I think Gage has done a great job so far. Feel free to ask questions in the comments about the station if you’d like.
In case you missed last week’s Cosmic Dash, we’re rapidly approaching the end of the current story. I’ve found a bit of a groove with producing stuff over the past couple of weeks, and I should be able to keep up with that over the next few weeks. I do need to start getting my classes laid out for the Fall semester, but I think I’ll manage just fine.
RGBots is updating twice a week with the usual strips on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with Public Domain Webcomic. Please take a look and share if you can. I am posting them all in a single tweet thread for easy reading.
